Mini challenge de hoy. In the world of Narcos, being a rat never ends well. Ends with lead… Ra-ta-ta-ta… But this week we talk about money and the word “rata”.

Una rata = a rat
Ser una rata = to be stingy / cheap

Useful Spanish:
Gastar dinero = to spend money
Ahorrar dinero = to save money
Pagar = to pay
Invitar = to treat someone
Partir la cuenta = to split the bill
Un lujo = a luxury
Tacaño/a = stingy
Generoso/a = generous

Your challenge: Complete this sentence: No soy rata, pero…

Examples:
No soy rata, pero no pago 8 euros por un café.
No soy rata, pero prefiero partir la cuenta.
No soy rata, pero uso descuentos.

I mean… Everybody has a rata inside. Sí. Todos tenemos una rata dentro. Sí, tú también. No queremos decirlo. No queremos reconocerlo. Pero nos gustan los descuentos. Nos gustan las ofertas. Nos gusta pagar menos. Hay un placer secreto cuando compras algo más barato. Cuando ves el precio original y el precio con descuento, tu corazón dice: “Gracias, universo.”
