Pesadilla de Navidad en Madrid

A fun and unusual way to learn Spanish

Excuse me, I introduce myself.

I’m ZP30, and I’m from a planet far, far away… What? No, I’m not an alien from Star Wars, what’s that?

My planet is called Oriom and it is 100000000000 light years from Earth.

I am an alien but I know people on Earth very well.

I have watched many videos on Youtube, culture, movies and TV shows, and I am prepared to visit humans.

My appearance is that of a human named Tamara Falcon. She is a bit popular in Spain,

I hope this is not a problem here.

In this book you´ll find:

    • A fun, original story about an alien experiencing Christmas in Madrid

    • Simple, real Spanish vocabulary, naturally repeated so you remember it without effort

    • A glossary with more than 200 common words used in everyday Spanish

    • Basic structures and expressions people actually use in Spain

    • A surprising story with an even more surprising ending

This is not a grammar book.
It’s not a method.

It’s a story designed to help you understand Spanish naturally, through context, repetition, and curiosity, the same way humans have learned languages for thousands of years.

If you want to enjoy a story, laugh a little, and learn Spanish at the same time, this book is for you.

Pesadilla en Navidad en Madrid Story of an alien in Christmas in Madrid.

I teach Spanish with stories.

I used to hate English classes at school.

You might thing I was a bad student but I wasn´t,

I had very good marks in English.

But I never learned, because regular methods are based on harrowing and twisted explanations about grammar.

Do you know who are experts in learning languages? Children.

They don´t learn grammar, but they can use a well structured speech and a good list of words, only by reading books and listening to stories, Who does not like a good story?

I apply this method to teach Spanish, and with stories is even better.

Stories move us, they are capable of lasting,

they give sense and significance to our lives.

I can tell you stories in Spanish that will stick in your mind. My job is to tell stories adapted to your level and your likes. Don’t worry, you’ll understand perfectly, that’s my job.

If the story moves you, interests you,

 and motivates you,

 you learn.

What my Students Have to Say

I absolutely love Monica’s teaching style as it makes it so easy to learn Spanish in a practical way. By telling stories and using news, ads and music we’re able to easily process the language to learn to understand what’s being said. Personally I find this way of teaching to be easily digestible. Highly recommend this school if you’re looking to learn Spanish!

I always enjoy Monica's classes - she is a highly qualified Spanish teacher and examiner, she has an interesting approach to the language through current affairs, films and culture, and she is very supportive, especially through moments when progress feels slow.

Monica is the gentlest and most patient Spanish teacher I have ever had. She provides guidance when I need it, but she never makes me feel bad for not knowing how to express myself. I highly recommend BlanBla for anyone looking for Spanish classes!

Totally recommend classes and storytime with Monica. It is like being a child again. I am looking forward to listening to these stories every week. I am amazed how much I have learned.
