Tragicomedia Acto 2. Cómo me enamoré de un guiri.

El guiri confuso me preguntó: ¿Tienes hora?

Yo malinterpreté: ¿Tienes tiempo?

Y respondí: Sí, tengo tiempo. Todo el tiempo del mundo. Hasta el final.

“I have all the time in the world, until the very end.”

¿Sabes? ¿No es la confesión de amor más honesta y loca que puede hacer alguien un poco desequilibrado? Una desequilibrada.

El The Clash en la Fuente

Entra el coro. ¡Oh! ¡Hola!

Y el guiri confuso respondió:

“Darling, you got to let me know — Should I stay, or should I go now?”

Coro: Esta indecisión me molesta.

Yo: Mirando muy confusa.

Guiri: “If you don’t want me, set me free.”

Coro: Si no me quieres, líbrame.

Yo: F* idea de qué estás hablando…

Guiri: “Exactly whom I’m supposed to be.”

Coro: Dime qué tengo que ser.

Yo: ¿Ahh, qué, otra vez?

Guiri: “Come on and let me know… Should I cool it, or should I blow?”

Coro: ¿Me debo ir o quedarme?

Yo: Ahh, eso sí lo entiendo. Quieres decir, ¿debería enfriar o soplar? ¿Como una sopa?

Todo muy confuso.

Pero era increíblemente creativo con sus habilidades comunicativas. Al contrario del puto búho de Duolingo.

Consiguió hablar el mejor Spanglish de la historia con su acento irresistible.

Y ese día acabé nadando en una fuente. Con él.

La Lección del Spanglish

No todo el mundo habla inglés por ahí. Así que mi consejo: si quieres a la chica, ve a por ella. En Spanglish.
