I have a crazy theory that explains why adults struggle to learn languages.
Not because they are stupid.
But because they learned to learn the wrong way.
I believe babies are born with their wisdom battery fully charged.
100%. Cien por cien.
They don’t study grammar. They don’t memorize rules. They don’t translate in their heads.
They listen. Escuchan.
They feel. Sienten.
They repeat what matters. Repiten.
Pure instinct. Pure truth.
Es puro instinto. Pura verdad.
The problem starts later.
Little by little, children depend on adults to survive.
And adults… are already disconnected from how learning really works.
We teach rules before meaning.
Perfection before communication.
Fear of mistakes before curiosity.
So when you try to learn Spanish as an adult, you do the same.
You overthink. You translate. You wait to be “ready.”
And slowly, you lose confidence.
Not because you can’t learn Spanish.
But because you’re learning it like an adult… not like a human.
Children are the best language learners on earth.
They speak before they understand.
They make mistakes without shame.
They repeat what feels useful.
They are small sages.
And instead of copying them… we do the opposite.
That’s exactly why I wrote my book.
Not to teach you Spanish like a school.
Not to impress you with grammar.
But to help you learn Spanish the way it actually works.
