Before the flowers. Before the chocolates. Before the heart-shaped everything.
Valentine’s Day was a dangerous story.
It didn’t begin with romance. It began with a ban.
And one man who chose love over fear.
San Valentín era un sacerdote cristiano en el imperio romano.
(Saint Valentine was a Christian priest in the Roman Empire.)
El emperador Claudio II no permitió a los soldados casarse
porque los solteros sin hijos eran mejores soldados.
