Seth Godin y el Español — Relationships, Stories, and a Bit of Magic

Let me start with a sentence that explains everything:

“People do not buy goods and services. They buy relations, stories and magic.” — Seth Godin

This is marketing. But it’s also education. Actually, they’re the same thing.

How You Actually Learned Something Important

Think about how you really learned something that matters in your life.

Not with fancy methods. Not with endless word lists. Not with apps screaming notifications at you at 7am.

You learned because someone connected with you. Someone told you a story. Someone made you feel safe, curious, confident. Someone made learning… enjoyable.

That’s how humans learn. Through relationships. Through stories. Through a little bit of magia.

Why Emotions + Language = Fluency

We don’t learn when we’re tense or bored. El cerebro se cierra.

We learn when we feel relaxed. Seen. Encouraged. When we trust the person teaching us.

Krashen (the linguist who changed how we understand language acquisition) called it the affective filter — the emotional wall that goes up when you feel anxious, judged, or afraid of making mistakes. When the wall is up, language can’t get in.

When the wall comes down? Todo entra. Everything enters.

Stories bring the wall down. Real conversations bring the wall down. Community brings the wall down.

Not cold techniques. Not robotic lessons. But conversation, stories, humor, patience, and real human connection.

📖 This method is in the book.
