Everyday life is full of small inevitables, you know?
That the house is always colder inside than outside. Even in Australia. Even in summer. ¿Por qué, Dios mío?
That my feet will never be warm. Ever. Nunca.
Losing my keys when I’m already late. I had them just now. Now they’re in Narnia.
Paying impuestos — taxes… even if you don’t have un euro. The government? Siempre cobra.
Learning ser vs estar and still mixing them up. It’s okay. I do it too. Sometimes. When I’m tired. Or drunk.

But then there are the bigger inevitables. The ones that hit you en el alma. The ones that whisper: “¿Qué estás haciendo con tu vida… really?”

My list of I-N-E-V-I-T-A-B-L-E-S:

Thinking you’re wasting your time. All. The. Time.
You know there’s something more, but you keep pushing it away with “mañana”.

Living someone else’s life.
Doing what your parents, your pareja, your boss, or your cat expects from you. But not what makes your corazón say: YES.

That job that’s draining your soul.
It pays the bills, sí. But it’s stealing your energy, your joy, your tiempo. Your life is not a spreadsheet, cariño.

Smiling at people you secretly want to block in real life.
Because “es familia”. Because “hay que ser educado”.

Saying “yes” when your body screams “NOOOO”.
Every “yes” to them is a “no” to YOU.

Feeling like it’s “too late” to change.
“Ya soy mayor.” “I don’t have time.” “I’m too tired.”
Sorry, but those are just lies dressed in comfy pajamas.

Watching your life like a telenovela… but you’re not la protagonista.
