How to learn from a podcast
- Same episode twice. First for the general idea, second to catch details.
- Use transcripts when the podcast has them.
- Pause and repeat one or two sentences out loud: shadowing turns listening into speaking practice.
- Summarise in 1 minute while you walk: that’s your speaking practice of the day.
- Increase speed slowly. 0.9x is fine at first; natives sound fast for a reason.
