The 20 Spanish words are listed below, but before, here you have the must knows, the most common Spanish words and phrases, like basic Spanish greetings, that will help you learn right away for beginners:

First up, we have “hola” which means “hello”. This one is pretty self-explanatory, but make sure to give it a friendly wave and a smile to make a good impression.

Next, we have “adiós” which means “goodbye”. Use this one when you’re ready to leave a conversation or a place. We also use “chao” commonly.

If you’re feeling thirsty, you’ll want to know “cerveza” which means “beer”. This one is important for any social situation, and can be used to make new friends or celebrate with old ones. It can also be useful “sangría”, “vino” or “wine”.
