La noche de San Juan
La noche (night) del 23 (veintitrés) de junio se celebra (it celebrates) en España el inicio (beginning) del verano (of the summer). Las Hogueras (bonfires) de San Juan (Sant John) es una fiesta (party) muy especial para los españoles (for the Spaniards). El origen de esta fiesta es pagano porque (because) se celebra (it celebrates) el solsticio (solstice) de verano (summer).

Esta (this) ciudad (city) celebra (celebrates) Las Hogueras (the bonfires), para celebrar (to celebrate) la recolección (the harvest) de las cosechas (of the crops). Es una fiesta de Interés Turístico Internacional, y la ciudad tiene (has) miles (thousand) de turistas (of tourists) este día (this day).
Las calles (the streets) tienen (have) monumentos y figuras (figures), muy grandes (very big) hechas de (made of) madera (Wood) y corcho (cork) y al final de la fiesta se queman (burn) (similar a las Fallas).
